We're Transitioning!
So you may have noticed our site has been pretty boring lately. In fact, there hasn't been any activity on the site in two months. We've put the site on hold so that we could become a registered LLC Company, which will be complete by the end of the month! Once we're done with that, we'll begin recording a new artist or band every week!
Our spring schedule is not fully booked yet, so please contact us if you are looking to become a part of the Bloomington Sound network!

The Best Guitarist at IU is...
Sung Won Chung!
Congratulations to Sung Won Chung for winning the 2009 Top Guitarist Competition! He received the most votes from IU listeners over the last week and is crowned by Bloomington Sound the best guitarist on the IU campus. He also wins $400. Well done Sung!
Thank you to everyone who entered the competition and everyone who voted. Because of you, this campus wide guitar competition was a success!

The Polls Are Open!
Who's the best guitarist at IU? It's up to you! Head over to the voting booth, give the songs a listen, and let us know who you think is the best. The guitarist who receives the most votes by Friday, December 11th will win $400!

Album Release: White Roberts - "Songs for Danny"
One of IU's most innovative rock bands, White Roberts has delivered 14 solid tracks in the form of their debut album: "Songs for Danny." It's a fresh, upbeat, grooving collection of music they have affectionately termed "dude rock." There sound is unique and addicting, and even with the quantity of tracks they provide, you'll still be begging for more.
Their message is simple: "You don't have to change your clothes to listen to us. It's a party, and everyone's invited."

Top Guitarist Competition Sign Up Closed
Sign up for the 2009 campus wide guitar competition is now closed, and we are starting to record the artists. We should get done with all of the recording by the end of October. When we're done recording, we'll upload all of the artist pages to the site and open up the voting polls. The artist who has the most people come and vote for their song wins the $400 cash prize!
In the mean time, we've got a few bands for you to check out in the artists section.

Article in "Live at IU"
Bloomington Sound was featured in the August publication of "Live at IU." We're flattered, to say the least. Besides giving a great explanation of how Bloomington Sound started and what it's all about, it shed some light on the 2009 Top Guitarist Competition. Involvement Fair

Website Launched!
BloomingtonSound.com is now up and running! The site is still under construction, but it'll be ready by fall semester.
We are also announcing our 2009 "Top Guitarist" Competition. If you go to IU and play guitar, you have to check this out. The winner takes home $400 cash and a really sweet purple trophy. It's only $20 to enter and your music ends up on our website even if you don't win. You can sign up by following the link on our homepage.
