About Bloomington Sound

Finding a place to play music at IU is hard for students who aren't music majors. And it's impossible with a college student's budget. Bloomington Sound was founded in 2009 to create a venue where any student can easily and affordably showcase their music.

So...what do we do?
We provide recording services for Indiana University Bloomington students and bands, and build a database of artist pages on our website for students to share their work. We are a registered organization at IU Bloomington that focuses on building a music community.
But don't get us wrong, we're not just here to record musicians - we record anything that makes noise on the IU Bloomington campus, including stand up comedy, political speeches, poetry readings, and basically anything we can pick up with a microphone.
Quality
Bloomington Sound works with the latest in audio recording and mixing technology to provide a high quality, professional sound. We do everything including recording, editing, mastering, and creating album art. We then give you your own website where you can display your songs, artist bios, and photos while listeners can comment and write reviews.
Affordability
And we do it all for a really affordable price! It's just $10 per artist to record a song with us, and you get all of the features mentioned above. So grab your cowbell and come record with us - you've got nothing to lose.
