Alicia Cooley
Major: Environmental Science
My name is Alicia Cooley and I am a sophomore, majoring in Environmental
Science. I am a transfer student from DePaul University. I have been playing
the guitar since I was a sophomore in high school, and I have not had much
experience with singing although I enjoy singing in my free time. I was born
in Chicago and I lived in Heyde Park for the first few years of my life,
then moved to Peoria, Illinois where I grew up. I have been dancing for a
very long time, first at Peoria Ballet then I was on the Dance Team at my
high school, Peoria Notre Dame. I have played the piano since I was seven
years old, and although I do not get to practice as much as I'd like, I
still enjoy playing in my free time. I have taken Taekwondo and Yoga and I
also ran on my Track Team in high school. I also have been learning how to
snowboard and skateboard.
I love writing music! My rock music inspirations are Tom Petty, Bob
Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Sheryl Crow, the Grateful Dead, Fleetwood Mac, the
Rolling Stones, etc. But I also love Underground Hip Hop music and I have a
hidden passion for rapping! I am also in love with Raggae music, as well as
Jazz and Blues.
