Michael Gruesen
Major: Exploratory
Michael Gruesen hates writing biographies, and is a freshman at IU.
He is originally from St. Charles, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. He
is currently Exploratory, but looks to do something in music and/or
business. Michael has always had an interest in music, but it wasn’t
until his freshman year in high school that he picked up the guitar.
He has been in numerous garage/jam bands throughout high school, most
notably Lights Over Kane for two years. The highlight of their senior
year was winning Battle of the Bands.
So far, college has given Michael a good chance to work on his own
songwriting, as this competition (mostly the deadline) has motivated
him to finally complete an entire song of his own.
