Steven Phillips
I am currently a freshman here at Indiana University. I was born October 9th, 1990 in Northbrook, Illinois which is a northern suburb of Chicago. I grew up with a very musical father who introduced me to music and the different techniques and rhythms in music. I started off playing the drums and bass guitar as a young 5th grader. Then I decided to take up guitar because my dad played and I was very intrigued with the sounds of the guitar. I have been playing guitar for about 8 years now. Some influences of mine are John Mayer, Jimmy Page, and Jimi Hendrix. I have been writing many songs all throughout high school that deal with the ups and downs of life and the moods these situations make me feel. I wrote this song one night on a usual boring day in Northbrook.
